Sonia Vargas

Digital compositor for visual effects, motion grapher, and video editor. I am currently working from Málaga, Spain. A film enthusiast, I began my audiovisual journey working in various departments, but over time, I decided to focus my career on the world of special effects, though I have worked on numerous projects as an editor and motion graphics designer.

I trained in the Master’s Degree in Digital Compositing for VFX, led by Adrián Pueyo at U-tad. Currently, I am a VFX Digital Compositor at Orca Studios, where I have had the opportunity to work alongside great professionals on both national and international shows, including exciting projects such as the third season of The Witcher, the movie Escape (produced by Martin Scorsese and directed by Rodrigo Cortés), and the movie Rich Flu (by Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia).

Works

VFX Compositing

I studied in the Master of Digital Composition para VFX dirigido por Adrián Pueyo en la U-tad. During my studies I have had the opportunity to work as a Compositing Intership at Orca Studios, where I have been able to work with great composers and on projects as interesting as the third season of The Witcher

Motion Graphics

Trained in the Master of Motion Graphics at the Trazos. Creation of film credits, TV headlines, training videos, videos for RRSS, advertising spots… I have worked with clients such as Perfumerias Primor, Google Cloud, Ministry of Defense, Medro Madrid, Junta Andalucia or Foro Eco.

Video editor

Trained in Audiovisual Production, and in the Professional Editing Course for Film and Advertising at the EFTI School. Experience editing short films. Video editing for RRSS, creative videos, advertising spots, corporate videos, promotional videos for events.
